Overview
Kasteel Wijenburg is a historic castle in Echteld, in the Betuwe region of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Dating to the 12th century, it stands within a moat with a fountain, mature trees and broad lawns. The castle has three floors built in different centuries, with seven halls and salons inside. These include the Ridderzaal (Knight's Hall), with wooden beams and chandeliers, the Blauwe Salon, the Torenkamer and the Breughelkelder.
Indoor and outdoor spaces include the castle rooms, garden and park, with a pergola beside the moat for outdoor ceremonies. St. Jan de Doperkerk, a 13th-century church opposite the castle, can be used for religious blessings. The venue offers parking, catering and accommodation, with guests able to stay at nearby Hotel Bal. It hosts weddings, receptions, private parties and photoshoots, with capacity for up to 150 guests. For weddings, the entire castle is available exclusively for at least 24 hours.
