Overview

Authentic 16th and late 19th-century château with breathtaking views over the Loire banks. Built in 1550 and remodeled in the 19th century by a historic Touraine family, facing due south, 500 m² of living space over three levels, surrounded by a one-hectare park including 5,000 m² of wooded area enclosed by walls, with outbuildings and troglodyte cellars. Close to all shops, no overlooking neighbors, no disturbances or nuisances, with views over the Loire valley.

The château: Restored about ten years ago but remained authentic with all its original features: moldings, beams, parquet floors, wooden and stone fireplaces, cabochon and Burgundy stone floors. Ground floor: Three connecting lounges and dining room, a kitchen with fireplace and Cornue-style stove. WC and pantry, stunning wooden staircase serving the upper floors. 1st floor: 5 spacious bedrooms, three shower rooms, one bathroom with a clawfoot tub. 2nd floor: 7 bedrooms, two bathrooms.

Outbuildings: 552 m² of cellars, a 45 m² dwelling to renovate, terraces. The outbuildings, including troglodyte cellars and dwellings, cover approximately 670 m². A well and a large underground rainwater cistern complete the outdoor facilities.

Several houses and troglodyte cellars that could become magnificent holiday cottages. WARNING: TO REFRESH After three failed sales due to financing issues and a price reduction from €1.9M to €1.3M, no further negotiation will be possible. A privileged location with no disturbances in an idyllic environment.

A must-see. Fees are the seller’s responsibility. Property with excessive energy consumption: class G.
