What is not measured

The database does not yet contain a sufficiently consistent structured condition field. This release therefore does not estimate restoration need. It also does not measure sale prices, days on market, heritage designation, transaction volume or investment return.

A median is the midpoint of disclosed asking prices within one currency—not the price of a typical castle and not a professional valuation.

Methodology and reuse

Snapshot date: 28 July 2026. Included records had status “published” and passed Castelle's valid-listing flag at extraction time. Counts can include syndicated inventory and should not be interpreted as unique physical-property counts without further entity resolution.

Price summaries require a positive numerical asking price, a declared currency and no price-on-application flag. Each currency is calculated separately.
