Overview
Château de La Chapelle d'Angillon is a privately owned medieval and Renaissance castle in La Chapelle-d'Angillon, in France's Berry region on the Route Jacques Coeur. The furnished, inhabited château houses the Musée Alain-Fournier and includes the 15th-century "jeu de paume" gallery, with a restored Renaissance interior and double-curved columns. The 12th-century Salle des Gardes provides a further indoor setting.
A terrace overlooks an 18-hectare lake, with a garden, outdoor areas, indoor spaces and views across the water. Parking, catering and accommodation are available. The château hosts weddings, receptions, corporate events, conferences and private parties. Wedding packages may include venue hire, tables and chairs, a Sunday family lunch and optional professional photography. Group meals can feature local cuisine and wines from Menetou-Salon, while the annual Fête Médiévale provides another occasion for events at the château.
