Overview
Durhamstown Castle is a historic castle in Bohermeen, Co. Meath, Ireland, set in the rural surroundings of County Meath. Its grounds feature mature trees, a heart-shaped croquet lawn, parkland, outdoor areas and views across the countryside, with parking available. Inside, the Great Barn is a converted barn with exposed wooden beams, brick arches and a dance floor. Owners Sue and Dave Prickett, who have backgrounds in antique dealing and furniture design, curated the castle interiors.
The venue hosts weddings, private parties, receptions and other private events. The Great Barn can accommodate up to 120 guests and contains the bar, dance floor, kitchens and restrooms. Catering is prepared on site, with vegetarian and vegan options available, while bread is made by Ruby's Bakery, an on-site sourdough micro-bakery. Accommodation is also offered, alongside indoor space, gardens and outdoor settings.
