Castello di Piovera is a medieval castle in Piovera, Provincia di Alessandria, Italy. Originally built in the 14th century over earlier Roman and Lombard settlements, it was fortified by the Visconti of Milan and later converted into a residence by the Balbi family of Genoa in the 19th century. Towers, battlements and a moat remain, while the facades and interiors reflect several architectural periods.
The grounds include a garden, park, indoor and outdoor spaces, and parking. Accommodation is provided in suites in the Orangerie, with views towards the castle or garden; the Orangerie also contains a bar. Catering is available for events. Castello di Piovera hosts weddings, corporate events, private parties, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, photoshoots and retreats. The site also accommodates guided tours, art exhibitions and educational workshops.
