Stichting Het Huys ten Donck is a historic house in Ridderkerk, NL, beside the Nieuwe Maas. Its Rococo-style reception house was built in 1746 by VOC mayor Otto Groeninx van Zoelen and retains original boiseries, stuccowork by Pietro Castoldi and dessus de portes. The house stands within a 32-hectare English landscape park with ancient trees, a historic harbor and Dahomey cattle.
Reception rooms accommodate up to 80 guests for a reception and 60 for a seated dinner; a tent in the garden allows celebrations for up to 200. The venue provides indoor and outdoor space, a garden, parkland, parking, views and catering. It hosts weddings, corporate events, private parties, receptions, concerts, exhibitions, workshops and photoshoots. Guided tours, high teas and walks through the park are also offered.
