Overview
Château de Bézyl is a 19th-century castle in Sixt-sur-Aff, France, built in 1877 for the Marquis de Lanascol with Italian-inspired architecture. Set in the Breton countryside, the estate covers 100 hectares of prairies, woodlands and heathlands, with parkland, a lake, gardens, walking trails and views across Haute Bretagne. Renovation by the current owners has taken place since 2003. The interiors include Art Deco and Art Nouveau decoration by Bert Strik, stained-glass windows and the grand salon.
Events can be held indoors and outdoors, with weddings accommodating up to 190 guests. The Grange de Bézyl reception hall has rustic beams and lighting; outdoor ceremonies are possible beneath the twin oaks, in front of the chapel or on the south-facing terrace with an Italianate backdrop. Accommodation is available in guest rooms and self-catering gîtes for up to 30 people. Facilities include parking, catering, Wi-Fi, a heated swimming pool and outdoor space. The venue also hosts corporate events, private parties, concerts, workshops and receptions. The grand salon contains a Bösendorfer grand piano, and table d’hôte dinners can feature local produce.
