Overview
Château de Puyrigaud is a 15th-century seigneurie in Léoville, in France’s Charente-Maritime region, between Cognac, Bordeaux, Royan, La Rochelle and Angoulême. The estate occupies a 4.5-hectare park of flowers and woods, with five guest rooms and two gîtes. Eighteenth-century work by Jean Baptiste de Lamolère added symmetrical wings and a pigeon tower, while a dovecote with ceramic nesting pots remains on the property.
The 18th-century chai, or wine cellar, provides an indoor setting for weddings, corporate events, private parties and receptions, accommodating up to 250 seated guests. The venue also offers outdoor space, a garden, parkland, parking, accommodation and a heated swimming pool. Catering is available through a table d’hôtes serving cuisine based on local seafood and terroir products. A wellness area with a spa, sauna and massage treatments completes the facilities.
