Château de Vidasse

Château de Vidasse is a medieval chateau in Pessac-sur-Dordogne, France, in the Dordogne region. Dating from the 14th century and built on the site of an ancient Roman villa, it has two round towers from the 15th century and a third added in the 19th century. The privately owned estate overlooks the Dordogne River and stands within a wooded park.

The reception hall occupies a former wine cellar and measures between 190 and 330 square metres. Its exposed stone, timber beams and three connected sections provide an indoor setting for 30 to 200 guests, with modern toilets and a catering office. An enclosed courtyard and the surrounding park offer outdoor space for cocktails, brunches and activities. Two gîtes provide accommodation, with five bedrooms in one and seven in the other; each has bathrooms, a dining room and a kitchen. Parking and catering are available. Château de Vidasse hosts weddings, corporate events, private parties and receptions for up to 200 guests, with views over the river and both indoor and outdoor settings. The estate is also associated with a 19th-century visit by the French writer Pierre Loti.
