Overview

Château La Gallée is a historic vineyard estate and chateau in Millery, France, around 15 minutes from central Lyon. Set within a 17-hectare walled domain, it began in the 14th century as a winegrower’s house before becoming a Maison des Champs and later a chateau. Its history also includes serving wines to the court of King Louis XIV.

Restored interiors retain period features including a painted ceiling by Thomas Blanchet and classified wallpaper. The ancient cuvage contains two stone-and-timber-framed halls for receptions and dinners, with a heated floor for winter events. Outdoors, a landscaped terrace, rose garden, garden and park provide space for ceremonies, cocktails and other gatherings. The venue also offers indoor and outdoor space, parking, catering and views. Its working vineyard produces Coteaux du Lyonnais wines, with tastings available. Château La Gallée hosts weddings, corporate events, private parties, receptions, workshops and retreats, including gatherings of up to 40 guests in the chateau salons and larger celebrations in the cuvage.
