Overview

Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa is an 18th-century castle hotel in Ballyfarnon, Co. Roscommon, Ireland, beside Lough Meelagh. The estate covers 50 acres of woodland and includes a park, lake, gardens, outdoor space and views. Inside, the castle retains turrets, fan-vaulted plasterwork and antique furnishings. The Walled Gardens and lakeside walks provide additional areas to explore. Built for the Tenison family in 1803, the castle was restored by the Hanly family in 2006.

The venue hosts weddings, corporate events, conferences, private parties and retreats, with indoor and outdoor space, catering, parking, Wi-Fi and accommodation. Lodging includes the Castle Tower Suite, Authentic Castle Suites and Classic Rooms. The Douglas Hyde Restaurant holds 2 AA Rosettes, with Executive Head Chef Daniel Willimont preparing dishes with fresh local ingredients. A spa and leisure centre are also available on the estate.
