Overview
Borgo Petroro is a medieval castle and country relais in Todi, Provincia di Perugia, set among the hills of Umbria. The fortified settlement is described as dating from the 13th century, with origins attributed to ancient Roman times. Its accommodation comprises 13 suites and rooms, each looking onto the surrounding countryside or inner courtyard and furnished with antiques, wrought-iron lamps, tapestries and trompe-l'oeil paintings.
Events can take place in Sala Nobile, which seats up to 65 in theatre style, and in Stanze dell'Abate. A former medieval chapel now used as a wine cellar provides a setting for vows; civil ceremonies are authorised on site, with connections to local churches for religious rites. The property hosts weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, banquets, receptions and private celebrations. Locanda Petreja serves Umbrian dishes with contemporary interpretations. Facilities include indoor and outdoor spaces, a garden, parking, Wi-Fi, a pool overlooking Todi, and a two-floor wellness centre with a Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, emotional shower, massage cabins and relaxation area. A tavern bar, summer pool bar, e-bike rentals and pet-friendly accommodation are also available.
