Overview

Castello del Sasso is a medieval castle in Sasso, in the Città metropolitana di Roma Capitale, Italy. Rebuilt between the 13th and 14th centuries, it has been the ancestral home of the Patrizi Marquises since the 16th century. The castle stands in the hills of the Tolfa mountains, with views towards the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Mediterranean scrubland of the family estate.

The grounds include an Italian garden with geometric hedges and a circular fountain, while the terrace provides panoramic views across the surrounding landscape. Medieval interiors provide indoor space, complemented by the garden and other outdoor areas. In the same square, the 16th-century Church of Santa Croce contains a relic of the True Cross and a fresco of the Blessed Patrizio and Antonio Patrizi, and provides a setting for wedding ceremonies connected with receptions at the castle. Parking is available. Castello del Sasso hosts weddings, private parties, receptions, photoshoots and cultural events.
