Ardgowan House, Castle and Gardens is a privately owned castle and stately home in Greenock, in the Inverkip, Ardgowan area of Scotland’s west coast. The 76-room house has period interiors including the Sculpture Gallery, Drawing Room, Dining Room, Library and Domed Entrance Hall. Its grounds contain gardens, a secret garden, a ruined chapel and parkland, with views of the River Clyde and surrounding countryside. The site began as a medieval watchtower and later served as an auxiliary hospital during wartime.
Events for up to 70 guests include weddings, private parties, workshops, receptions, photoshoots, concerts, exhibitions and corporate gatherings. Listed facilities include parking, catering, accommodation, indoor and outdoor spaces, the chapel, gardens and parkland. The estate is also home to Ardgowan Distillery; The Porchlight curates private dining and supper clubs, while the wider offering includes classes and seasonal ticketed events.
