Overview

Barnbougle Castle is a 13th-century castle in South Queensferry, set within the woodlands of the Dalmeny Estate and overlooking the Firth of Forth. Around 20 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, it provides indoor rooms and outdoor grounds for ceremonies, meals and receptions. The Scottish Library is used for ceremonies, while the barrel-vaulted Banqueting Hall suits wedding breakfasts and evening receptions. A sea-facing terrace looks across to Fife, and the grounds include a private beach and parkland. A marquee extends the event capacity to up to 450 guests.

The castle hosts weddings, corporate events, private parties and receptions, with parking, catering, indoor and outdoor space, and accommodation. The on-site bridal suite sleeps two, and menus use locally sourced Scottish produce. The venue can also host gala dinners and awards evenings.
