Rose Castle is a historic castle in Dalston, near Carlisle, set in the Caldew Valley of Cumbria. Its history includes use as the palace of the bishops of Carlisle since 1230. Following restoration, the castle provides historic interiors and facilities for private events.
The castle and its grounds can be used exclusively. Indoor spaces include restored state rooms, a bridal suite and a private chapel. Accommodation comprises the bridal suite and 14 additional bedrooms, with overnight stays for up to 26 guests. The gardens contain an orchard, vegetable garden, beehives and sunken woodlands, alongside parkland and views. Rose Castle hosts weddings, corporate events, private parties, retreats and receptions, with catering, parking, Wi-Fi, and indoor and outdoor event space. It is approximately 20 minutes from the M6 and the Lake District.
