Sneaton Castle

Sneaton Castle is a historic castle on the Yorkshire coast in Whitby. The estate includes the castle, priory and chapel, with more than 100 years of history as a residence of the Sisters of the Holy Paraclete. Its Norman-style chapel is licensed for wedding ceremonies. Gardens and outdoor space accompany indoor event areas, with views over the Esk Valley, parking and wifi available.

Sneaton Castle hosts weddings, receptions, corporate events, private parties and retreats. The estate has a Garden Room Restaurant, catering services, a farm and a range of activities. Accommodation includes rooms and suites such as Room 7, with its own turret and four-poster bed, and Room 10, in the eves of the priory with original paintings. The Gatekeeper's suite, CrossButts Farmhouse, The Dovecote, Valley View, Little Acorn, Hawthorn Lodge and The Stables are described as offering hot tubs and views over the Esk Valley.
